According to documented TEDS information, heroin treatment admissions increased from 339 in 1993, to a high of 514 in 1996, then went down to 278 in 1998. However, in 1998 there was a disparity in data reporting for admissions to substance abuse treatment programs. This occurrence resulted in underreported figures.
